And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20 NKJV)

Shortly before returning to Heaven, Jesus met with His followers and gave them the mission of directing people to God. Those men and women accepted the mission and, in turn, handed it to everyone they directed to God. Now it is our mission--and it is our responsibility to hand it to those we direct to God so that the mission doesn't fail.

Our Mission Statement, Values Statement, and Vision Statement are our way of understanding, carrying out, and handing off the mission of reflecting God to people and directing people to God.
